Remember when we featured that clever print ad TBWA put together for Apple’s iPad mini a few months back?
It won one of the industry’s most prestigious awards – the Grand Prix in press at Cannes – yesterday.
The campaign, which featured one of five different magazine covers as displayed on the iPad mini, was awarded the top honor despite fierce competition.
AdAge has this quote from category judge Mercello Serpa describing why Apple and TBWA won:
“It has a kind of guerrilla feeling. It’s a product that goes inside the media and says I’m going to kill you, [then] I’m going to save you. Let’s embrace. It’s redemption.”
